Lent is a season of prayer, repentance, and renewal as we prepare to celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. It is a time to slow down, reflect honestly, and open our hearts more fully to God’s grace.
The Lenten series offered here are designed for parish small groups, faith-sharing gatherings, youth groups (Grades 8+), and individuals seeking a more intentional Lenten journey. Each series emphasizes Scripture, prayer, reflection, and conversation rather than lectures or debate.
Lenten series are typically used over several weeks during Lent, with each session lasting 60–90 minutes. Groups may meet weekly or biweekly and are encouraged to adapt the pacing to their parish or group context.
Each session usually includes prayer, Scripture, a short video or reflection, guided discussion, and a closing prayer.
Foundations of Faith (Lent-Focused)
Lenten adaptations of Catholic foundational teachings that invite participants to reflect on belief, conversion, and discipleship.
Often includes:
Salvation, repentance, the sacraments, the Cross, and the Resurrection.
Prayer and Spiritual Renewal
Series that introduce or deepen prayer practices commonly emphasized during Lent.
Often includes:
Lectio Divina, silence, examination of conscience, and guided meditation.
Scripture and Reflection
Scripture-based series that invite participants to encounter Christ through the Gospels and reflect on their personal response to God’s call.
Media-Based Lenten Series
Faith-sharing series that use short video content as conversation starters grounded in Scripture and Church teaching.
Examples include:
Lenten series based on The Chosen.
The following example shows how a typical Lenten small-group session might be structured.
Sample Session: A Lenten Call to Conversion
Purpose:
To invite participants to reflect on God’s call to conversion and renewal during Lent.
Typical length: 75–90 minutes
Suitable for: Adults, Youth (Grades 8+), or mixed groups
1. Opening Prayer (5 minutes)
Invite the group to place themselves in God’s presence and acknowledge the purpose of the Lenten season.
2. Scripture Proclamation (10 minutes)
Read a Gospel passage focused on repentance, mercy, or discipleship.
3. Teaching or Video Reflection (20 minutes)
Offer a short reflection or watch a brief video to frame the theme of the session.
4. Guided Faith Sharing (30 minutes)
Invite participants to reflect on how the Lenten theme connects to their own lives and spiritual journey.
5. Closing Prayer (5 minutes)
Conclude with intercessions or a prayer of commitment for the coming week.
Lenten small groups are most fruitful when participants are encouraged to listen prayerfully, share honestly, and respect the pace of one another’s spiritual journey.
Each lesson packet (PDF) includes Scripture, reflection questions, and direct links to all YouTube videos (free) used in the lesson. The packet is ready to use for individual prayer or small groups.

The Mass is more than a ritual we attend — it is an encounter with the living God. In this Lenten series, participants are invited to rediscover the Mass as a sacred meeting place between heaven and earth, where Christ offers Himself for us and draws us into His saving work.
Across this series, we reflect on:
the Lamb of God and the Mass as sacrifice
the Liturgy of the Word as God speaking to His people
the Liturgy of the Eucharist as our most intimate encounter with Christ
💡 Perfect for: Catholics who want to move from watching the Mass to actively participating in the sacrifice and mystery of the Eucharist.
